Howard and I both remember Dan from the skating rink years as well as Howard in high school years. Our sympathy goes to your loss and sadness at this time. They played as young boys at family gatherings and their last visit (before Mom Mable's 90th birthday reunion) was in 1981 at Wes and Arsela's in Mt. On April 29, 2011, Dan passed away unexpectedly at his home in rural Windom at the age of 61 years.ĭan is survived by his wife of twenty-three years, Debra Minion of Windom three children, James Moyer and his wife, Gwen, of Estherville, IA Ginger McNab and her husband, Brett, of Brewster Waylon Arndt and his wife, Leesa of Windom four grandchildren mother-in-law, Beatrice Lemickson of Windom two great-grandchildren and one brother, Robert Minion of Mt. He will be remembered for many things in life including his love of fishing, hunting, camping, woodworking, playing with all of his toys, four-wheeling being Deb's "handyman", and spending time with his family, especially his grandsons. He also helped Bruce Nagorske with his farming operation.ĭan was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Windom. He continued working for them after his retirement. Just before retiring Dan began to work for Fortune Transportation. In 1978 Dan began to work for the Cottonwood County Highway Department as shop supervisor until retiring in 2008. Dan and Deb made their home outside of Windom. He then married Debra Lemickson on Jat the American Lutheran Church in Windom. Both of these marriages were later dissolved. On June 9, 1968, Dan was first united in marriage to Alice Johnson at Kansas Lake Church in the Butterfield/Odin area and later to Donna Lober. ![]() He then furthered his education at Jackson Vocational Technical Institute in Mechanics.
